Emily Paluska is the botanical artist behind Revery Paper Flora in Washington DC. After a life long infatuation with the arts and the botanical world as separate entities, she realized her love for both could be combined. Always disliking the feeling of fleeting joy with fresh blooms, paper flowers presented an option of lasting enjoyment. Her business is named after the Emily Dickinson poem 'To Make a Prairie': “To make a prairie it takes a clover and one bee, One clover, and a bee. And revery. The revery alone will do, If bees are few.”

The goal of Emily's work is to transport you to a different time and place: the smell of lilacs from your childhood home, roses in your grandmother's garden, hibiscus from your wedding day or dandelions from your childhood.

Emily works with clients small and large alike to create bespoke arrangements and displays. Her flowers can be found in stores across the United States. Emily strongly believes in the many benefits of creative education. She teaches many workshops in the DC area along with Austin, TX.
